Tori Sanderson (GAICD)
Managing Director
Tori is the Managing Director & CEO of Avian, bringing a wealth of experience that bridges the public service and private sector. Her leadership spans diverse industries—from healthcare and education to technology, not-for-profit, retail, and government—offering a unique vantage point on how to build and sustain successful, mission-driven organizations.
Having led consulting practices dedicated to digital transformation, organizational change, and capability-building, Tori’s passion for delivering tangible, impactful results is evident in her track record. She has guided teams in creating award-winning digital platforms—most notably cyber.gov.au, which earned a “Best User Experience” accolade in 2023—and orchestrated sweeping service delivery improvements for federal departments like DCCEW, DEWR, ASD, Home Affairs, CER, DESE, the Attorney-General’s Department, DVA, and Services Australia.
In the private sphere, Tori’s expertise shines through initiatives with major brands such as Coles, Commonwealth Bank Foundation, and Auckland Savings Bank, where she has developed innovative learning programs and products that drive both organizational transformation and measurable growth. Josh Street
Head of Capability, Digital Services
Josh is an experienced digital leader with a track record of delivering simple, effective services in complex environments. Having built and led teams across the public and private sectors, he brings deep expertise in agile transformation, service design, and technology strategy. His ability to align teams and stakeholders—from frontline staff to senior executives—ensures that organisations can navigate change and deliver meaningful value.
Josh has played a pivotal role in shaping major digital initiatives, including transforming digital delivery of student services at ANU, the development of whole-of-government platforms at the Digital Transformation Agency, and the design of Australia’s first API-based carbon project registrations at the Clean Energy Regulator.
His leadership in professional services firms has seen him drive high-impact projects for clients such as ACSC (cyber.gov.au), Home Affairs, DFAT, and ARENA, bridging technology, policy, and usability to deliver tangible outcomes. With a background spanning product management, technology advisory, and large-scale digital transformation, Josh thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. Whether modernising case management systems, improving service delivery through design-led approaches, or introducing DevOps practices to enhance uptime and reliability, his focus remains on creating high-performing teams and sustainable, user-centred solutions.
